What to Expect

So, what is a Club Fair and what will it be like if you go?

The Club Fair’s goal is to connect adults with clubs and organizations who are based in, or regularly meet in, South Seattle. The types of clubs span across athletic, community, and hobby

Here’s what to expect:

The fair is happening at Centilia Cultural Center across the street from the Beacon Hill Light Rail station. It’s free and you can can come and go anytime between 10:00am-2:00pm. We recommend taking public transit or you can find street parking available in the neighborhood surrounding the venue.

Somewhere near the entrance, you’ll find a welcome table with directory information along with hot drinks and treats. We’ll answer any questions you have and offer some helpful information.

You can walk around the space and check out the ~25 groups who will be present. Talk to them, or don’t! You don’t have to interact with any table you don’t want to, and you will not be pressured to sign-up for anything.

Throughout the day, we will have demonstrations on stage. So far, the schedule is:

TIMEDEMONSTRATION
10:30amChiabata Marimbas
12:00pmFeminist Karate Union
1:00pmZambuko Marimba Ensemble

At the top of each hour we will be giving away door prizes donated by our sponsors. To enter the drawing, you’ll need to visit 5 different tables and have the club hosts sign off on your entry card.

We intend for this to be a welcoming, inclusive event for all of our neighbors. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
